My Background
Julia is a Leadership Voice & Communication coach who helps professionals communicate with clarity, confidence and impact.
Drawing on three decades of experience in voice and performance coaching, she helps clients develop their voice and executive presence, while cultivating an authentic, engaging and effective presentation style. Her clients include senior leaders, partners, founders and emerging executives who want their communication to match the strength of their ideas.
Julia’s journey began in Swansea, South Wales, at the proudly unpronounceable Olchfa Comprehensive School. At 18 she went up to the University of Cambridge (Girton College) to study English, where her heart soon led her to spend much of her time singing and performing.
Her subsequent career has been as creative as it has been diverse. After a portfolio career in the performing arts —spanning performance, writing, workshop facilitation, conducting, singing teaching and vocal coaching— Julia developed a deep expertise in helping people find and use their voice with confidence and authenticity. She now brings this breadth of experience to her work with leaders and professionals.
Julia has a gift for working with people from all walks of life — from CEOs to prison inmates. What inspires her work is a belief that everyone has the capacity to communicate with clarity and engagement. She is passionate about helping people discover the potential of their own voice and embrace their ability to present and perform. Through her YouTube channel ‘The Animated Presenter’, Julia shares presenting tips for all to access.
Alongside her independent coaching practice, Julia coaches for AGL Communications, and is proud to be a regular guest facilitator, speaker and coach for Diversity Talks Real Estate, the University of Cambridge Judge Business School, and Emmanuel College, Cambridge.
Known for her dynamic, solutions-focused and person-centred approach, Julia enables clients to present with authority and impact — while remaining fully and convincingly themselves.
